Product Details
Combine colorful mohair and solid fingering yarn to make a spectacular fabric with painterly effects. This soft, lightweight poncho is made by combining a solid color of fingering or sock weight yarn with a lace weight mohair of many colors. Working with both yarns at the same time, make one flat rectangle, fold it over the shoulders, seam in front, and finish with a border of beads around the neck.
I used less than 2 balls of Louisa Harding Yarns Amitola Brushed mohair blend, color 339 Cosmopolitan, 328 yards each ball and less than 2 hanks of Cascade Yarns Heritage, color 5735 Smoked Pearl, 437 yards each hank.
20 - 8mm large hole round beads
One size only. Finished poncho size is 15.5 inches from the top of the neck to the bottom by 33 inches from side to side laying flat. Fits an adult woman size medium.
