Product Details
This beautifully tailored layer is all about the cables. The front and back feature a wider center cable flanked by multiple panels of smaller cables. The end result is a cozy vest with lots of modern appeal.
The front and back are knit separately, beginning with the longer, ribbed waistband, then transitioning to the cable panels. The armhole shaping is done earlier, creating deeper armholes to allow this vest to be worn over multiple sleeve styles.
Short rows shape the shoulders for a nicely tailored fit. Shoulders are then joined using a simple 3-needle bind off method.
The V-neckline is finished with a deep, ribbed border that overlaps at the base. Armhole edgings are ribbed in the round with decreases at the underarm for a lovely fit. Cable panels are all charted and written out. Vest is knit in a wool and mohair blend, which can easily be substituted with a similar, Aran or heavy-worsted wool blend.

Initially, Instructions were confusing, but take the time and a highlighter read through and highlight your size then re- read it. Once I started it was quite quick and easy to follow. I did write cable patterns on a piece of paper so I could count and mark rows, without marking original pattern. Will definately make another vest.
