Product Details
This two-color asymmetrical triangular shawl begins with only a few stitches and increases from one point to a broad border that embellishes one edge. The lace bands on the border are worked in the MC yarn. Although this is a shawl, it is important to obtain gauge in order to avoid running out of yarn and to obtain the sizes shown on the pattern. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge. The gauge given in the pattern is a blocked gauge. This pattern calls for DK weight yarn. It may be knit in sport or fingering weight yarns, but keep in mind your shawl may be smaller than the sizes shown if knit in a lighter weight yarn. I recommend making the large size if you choose to use fingering weight. I used Bare Naked Wools Stone Soup DK, main colour is Slate and contrast colour is Marble. The other shawl pictured is in Jill Draper Makes Stuff Mohonk in greens.
