Product Details
The back of the cardigan is a mitred square with some length added, the front pieces start with mitred squares at the shoulders and are then knitted down to the bottom hem. Sleeves are picked up from the sides of the garment and knitted down to the cuff. Sleeve circumferences allow up to four inches of positive ease (it’s a layering piece) but can be easily adjusted by picking up less or more stitches. Or if you prefer a boxy vest style, leave off the sleeves altogether.
For those who haven’t tried modular knitting, you can knit the whole thing flat and seam later. No need to change stitch counts as each piece has a selvedge st to allow easy picking up of stitches or seaming afterwards if you prefer.

I enjoyed the challenge of this pattern made the item just using up odd balls of wool for each section so I can see clearly how each piece fits in, wanted to do this before I purchase wool for the real thing.
