Product Details
Akiko is a Japanese word meaning "Autumn," and these mitts that feature twisted stitches, twisted ribs, and beaded lace, mark the happy onset of autumn for me. Crisp days and chilly nights call out for mitts! I hope you enjoy making, wearing, and gifting these well into the cold weather season.
This pattern calls for working twisted or crossed stitches several times in quick succession. I have included alternate instructions for working these crosses without a cable needle.
Note: Mitt will stretch up to 2½" over stated hand measurement. Mitts shown are 6" size.
