Product Details
A great pattern for your first attempt at lace shawl knitting!
Albanetta Crescent is a simple yet attractive crescent shape shawl that combines plain stockinette with a delicate and very feminine lace border.
It is part of the Albanetta set which includes two shawls featuring the same lace border, the other shawl is triangular, and it is called Albanetta Triangle, of course.
The pattern is easily adjustable in size by adding more repeats to both stockinette and lace border sections. The proportions between the two parts are not rigid and can be freely changed and adapted according to needs . Any yarn from fingering to DK weight will look good on the shawl. Consequently, needles should be adapted to the yarn used and the degree of lacy effect that you desire to achieve. I personally prefer to knit lace with larger size needles to get it really lacy.
