This is a great simple skirt for beginners! The waistband is made in sc ribbing, giving it plenty of ease so it may look too small but it will stretch especially after wash and wear. After the waistband is made the ends are sewn together then the work is turned and you start working in the round in the row ends of the waistband. Very basic stitches used with a little play on texture. I recommend using Caron simply soft for a looser fabric with more flow, it will loosen up tremendously so you may want to make a drawstring to use after several washed.
