Product Details
The Amelia Shawl is an asymmetric triangle which grows from a few stitches by increasing along one edge. It starts with a relaxing garter stitch section and finishes with a pretty stitch pattern that uses eyelets and knit and purl stitches to create interesting texture. It is easy to memorise and is suitable for beginners to lace. The size can be adjusted very simply: just stop when it’s large enough!
The sample is knitted in Malabrigo Sock yarn shade Frank Ochre and uses slightly less than two 100g (3.5oz) skeins. Although the shawl is knitted flat I recommend using a 3.75mm (US 5) at least 60cm (24”) long to accommodate the number of stitches.
The pattern is both written and charted.
