“The world is hard on ambitious girls.” (Amy March, Little Women)
Amy was a young woman who knew what she wanted and that was some glamour and sparkle in her life. This vibrant shawl reflects that desire, whilst not being so large as to hide her other beautiful clothes – that would never do.
The pattern is fully written (pages 1-6) with optional charts which are included at the end of the file Pages 7-12). The shawl begins with a short Italian 2-colour cast-on and there is a link to a video tutorial included in the pattern.
Yarn: LC: The Yarn Artist, Superwash Sock 4ply, (75% Merino, 25% Nylon), Monet Pink Waterlilies, 1 skein, DC: The Yarn Artist, Superwash Merino 4ply (100% SW Merino), Viridian Green, 1 skein
Notes on yardage: One skein of each colour is used.
Many thanks to Nancy Marchant for her work on brioche stitches and terminology, which is used here and to Deb Bramham for her brilliant tech editing.
