I used a shade under 200 yards total of DK weight alpaca yarn from my stash for these gloves, 100 yards of each color or a bit more should be sufficient, but if you want to make them larger, you will need more.
Only the small size (7.25" palm) is written out, but I have added a note on upsizing the pattern, and if you are familiar with glove construction, it should be easy to do. For a longer palm, you could add extra rows between the pattern bands.
This is my first time writing up a pattern, so bear with me! I am happy to reply to any questions/comments you may have.
The patterning on these gloves was suggested by a graph for a sweater in an old magazine. I wanted something that would work with some handspun alpaca I had in natural shades. Those gloves have worn out, and I decided to write up the pattern and replace them at the same time.
