Product Details
Angeline is a cloche hat. It uses fingering yarn held double and three colours to create a gradual tonal change and a contrast colour on the final row of the brim.
This is a great project for leftover sock yarn or mini skeins.
The contrast colour is also used for three rows of slip stitch around the band. Three crochet buttons are used as decoration on the right-hand side of the hat.
This is a top-down construction worked in the round. The crown of the hat is all treble crochet (US double crochet), with half trebles (US half db) and doubles (US crochet stitch) also used in the brim. The last row of the brim is worked in the contrast colour.
Slip stich is used to create a ‘top stich’ effect and three stripes around the band. The central strip uses the yarn held double and the other two use a single yarn. There are three crochet buttons in two sizes and colours sewn over the right side of the hat.
