Some aran patterns take are difficult and take forever. Not this one. This is a simple repeat pattern, and a good pattern to try if you have never done aran knitting before. To make it easier, we made this with bulky yarns, and knitting needles US # 9 and # 10.5, so work goes faster, with fewer rows. You will need a 16 circular needle # 9, and a few double points to do last few rounds of decreasing on hat. Dont worry, we did not give you too many decrease rows. Scarf is about 59 inches long, but you can knit it shorter, if desired. Hat is one size fits most.
