Product Details

This is the second shawl in my “face framing lace” series. After I designed one shawl focused on the idea that it would be fun to move the lace trim from the bottom edge up to the top I couldn’t stop thinking about the different ways I could accomplish the effect.

By featuring double yarn overs in an offset pattern I was able to create a pattern that, after the set up, you simply repeat the same two rows over and over again. Because of this feature you can use up nearly every gram of your available yarn. And as with the previous shawl, should you want to knit this in a different yarn weight, you will simply need to adjust your needle size.

Stitches used: knit, kfb, k2tog, slip with yarn in front, ssk, YO

Good for adventurous beginner.

This pattern has been tech edited and tested. Pattern can be worked entirely from written or from charts.
