Product Details

Named Armas, Irish for crest as well as achievement, is this seamless high-low dress with a Celtic cable on the top of the back and the kangaroo pocket, like a family crest. Three small cables run along the sleeves ending on the saddle shoulder. The remaining dress is worked in stockinette stitch to make the cables stand out and ends in a crew neck that is crowned with an I-cord. Armas is knitted in the airy Norwegian combed wool yarn Ask from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.

Intended ease: 5-7 cm/2-2.75” positive ease. Sample shown is 92 cm/36” and worn with 8 cm/3.25” positive ease on model.

Meterage: 1486 (1606, 1726, 1846, 2036) (2226, 2416, 2606, 2796) m

Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows in st st using 3.5 mm/US 4 needle measures 10 cm/4” square after blocking.

Notes: The dress is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up with set in sleeves with a saddle shoulder. The high-low hem is cast on with 2 sets of circular needles and worked with short row shaping at the bottom of the body.

Notes
The Kangaroo pocket is made at the end, but stitches are set aside on the front. The armhole has stitches set aside on the body that are grafted tog.
