Product Details
These socks are knitted from the top down and feature helical stripes, a garter-edged slipped-stitch heel, and two options for the toe. The pattern also includes tonnes of my best tips and customisation choices to give you the perfect sock. It's ideal for your second-ever knitted pair of socks (or third, or fiftieth!).
If you’ve never tried helical stripes before then this is the perfect pattern to find out how addictive they are to knit – they are SO. MUCH. FUN. Any contrasting sock yarns look fantastic using this technique (particularly if one is solid, but feel free to experiment!).
It's important to note that this pattern is specifically written for double-pointed needles. This is because of the helical stripes, which are easiest to explain (in text format) and learn for the first time on DPNs. It is possible for a confident helical knitter to knit helical stripes using magic loop or two circulars, but please note that this particular pattern only includes instructions for DPNs.
