Product Details

The Australian Red Eyed Tree Frog (Litoria Chloris) might not be as spectacular as it’s Central American namesake, but it’s dear to my heart.

One interesting difference is the way the pupil is running horizontally instead of vertically.

We had many of them in the backyard when we lived in the subtropics and they have a lovely moaning call, followed by a soft trill, guaranteed to sooth you to sleep at night.

The knitted version is not noisy but more cuddly.

Tension/Gauge is not important for this project. The frog is knitted partly flat, and partly in the round.

All you need to do is use needles about 2 sizes smaller than what is recommended, to get a dense fabric. If you use a different weight yarn, you will get a different size frog. Fingering weight yarn will make a smaller frog, and worsted weight will make a bigger frog.

Size: Body of frog is about 10 cm (4”) long. Full length including legs is about 16 cm or (6.5”)
