Product Details
This design was inspired by the wonderful autumn colours of the trees around beautiful Perthshire in Central Scotland where I used to live. The pattern itself based on skeleton leaves which I’ve always had a fascination for! The cardigan body and sleeves are knitted bottom up and in the round. Steek stitches are included in the body which will later be cut open for the creation of the button bands. The body and sleeves are joined to create the yoke. A few decrease rows are worked at the underarms to ensure a close fit. The yoke patterning is then worked with decreases included in the last few rows for shaping. Short rows are added to raise the back neck ensuring a better fit. My Autumnsong Beanie pattern knits to the same gauge so can be a wearable swatch to ensure gauge is met or to try your own favourite alternative colour combinations. Hyperlinks are included in the pattern for any techniques which may be new to you.
