Product Details
The colours are inspired by Italian cuisine (lemons and olives) and the design is based on a traditional American log cabin quilt. It is not, however, worked in separate panels but from end to end with the varied mosaic stitches mimicking the log cabin effect.
It is worked from end to end in 7 sections with 11 separate panels and has written and charted instructions.
Mosaic knitting is a simple colourwork technique that uses two colours and slip stitches. Each colour is used for two rows. All the stitches that are slipped on the RS will also be slipped on the WS - both with the yarn on the wrong side of the work
Two skeins of each colour in DK are needed for this. The sample uses Eden Cottage Yarns Oakworth and Pendle.
