I received a request for a knitted elephant. I decided to design my elephant as a baby elephant, complete with chubby cheeks and belly. Knit in-the-round using Magic Loop (DPNs could be substituted), the front legs and body are all one piece. Sitting approx. 10” tall, Baby Elephant is worked in worsted wt. (Aran/10-ply) yarn, using approx. 300 yds. Baby Elephant has a sweet innocence that will capture the heart of a special someone.
The sample was made with Purl Essence Everyday: Sincerely Lt. Grey. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.

Bought the Baby Elephant pattern. The pattern was extensive but included pictures and suggestions. It was easy to follow and worked up very nicely.
My baby elephant is lovely. She turned out bigger than the pattern said because i used thicker yarn. Our dog loves her and sits by the couch , where Ellie has taken up residence, and gazes at her. I knitted her on two needles as i couldn't work out how to knit just ten stitches in the round. Thank you for the pattern. The price was very fair.
