A simple and basic toe-up sock pattern for men and women in WORSTED weight!
This pattern is written using the Magic Loop method for two-at-a-time knitting, but it can also be adapted to single-sock knitting by following instructions only for Sock A.
This pattern uses the afterthought wedge heel method; however, any other form of afterthought heel or other heel method can be substituted.
This pattern uses the figure-8 cast-on method.
MATERIALS:
Needles: US 2 (2.75mm) circular needles [47-inch (119 cm) length recommended].
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn. (MC: at least 210 yds./100g; CC: at least 55 yds) or any worsted weight yarn of comparable weight.
Shown here: Malabrigo Rios (MC: Deep Sea Dash) and Knit Picks WOTA (CC: Calypso Heather);
Gauge: 7 stitches x 9 rows = 1 inch (stocking stitch).
Notions: 1 locking marker; yarn needle; waste yarn.
Sizing: Small (7-8” circumference); Medium (8-9” circumference); Large (9-10” circumference); Extra-Large (10-11” circumference).

- Any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern; however, 100% cotton will likely stretch out and not regain its elasticity after the first wash.
