Product Details

From the pattern:

Like an old gothic cathedral, this shawl is designed to be at once geometric and organic, imposing and inviting. The half-pi construction is simple to execute and sits beautifully on the shoulders, while the stitch pattern changes keep the knitting interesting. This pattern looks best in a yarn with some drape, such as those with a high silk, rayon/bamboo, or alpaca content.

Yarn 520 yds (475 m) lace-weight Shown: Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace in Navy Pier; 50% silk 50% wool, two-ply, 1250 yds (1143 m)/ 4 oz (113 g)

Needles US size #6 (4 mm), or size to obtain desired fabric; 20 in circular (or longer) recommended

Gauge Not crucial to project

Notions Crochet hook or dental floss (for applying beads); 1350 beads (shown with size 6/0 – please consider purchasing more beads than required, to allow for some ill-fitting beads); tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
