BATUMI shawl is a light, playful accessoiry with a twist, suitable for advanced knitters and lace lovers. The shawl is worked flat top down, from the middle of the top to the lower tip with stitch sections.
You will need following Basic Knitting Techniques: Garter Tab Cast On (shown as a schematic in the pattern) / Knitting and Purling Stitches / Working a Yarn Over / Knitting 2 stitches together with right leaning (k2tog) / Purling 2 stitches together with right leaning (p2tog).
Following Special Knitting Techniques are shown as Tutorials (photo and text) in the pattern: Increasing Technique with right (Make one right) and with left (Make one left) leaning / Knitting 2 stitches together with left leaning (ssk) / Purling 2 stitches together with left leaning (ssp) / Garter-Stitch-Casting-Off.
In addition to a written step by step instruction, a schematic and photo-tutorials, you will also find a chart for the Lace Stitch Section to make the pattern very easy to follow.
