Product Details
The Beatrice Cardigan is a raglan sweater worked from the top down and then the sleeves are added when the body is finished. First you will stitch the yoke of the sweater, then separate the sleeves, and continue on to stitch the body rows. When the body rows are complete you will stitch the inside edging. First the left hand side and then the right hand side which will include the button holes. A beautiful picot edging will then be stitched around the collar, down the left hand side of the cardigan, along the bottom of the cardigan and up the right hand inside edge. When stitching the sleeves, you will seam as you go with a slip stitch. Make sure you skip the sl st after you turn at the beginning of each row. I recommend to only chain 1 stitch as it makes the seam almost invisible. If you struggle with this, you can easily stitch the sleeves in rows back and forth and then seam them up at the end.
