Product Details
“Byke” is an old Scots word for a bee-hive and the hexagonal stitch patterns in the Bee-Byke Shawl, inspired by traditional Shetland lace stitches, reflect the differently-sized worker and drone sections of a honeycomb.
Bee-Byke is a top-down triangular shawl combining two garter stitch lace patterns and a garter stitch lace edging, which is knitted on after the body of the shawl is complete. Lace patterning on both right- and wrong-side rows combined with easily memorisable repeats make this an intermediate level pattern.
Charts and written instructions are included.
