Like a good Irish stew, this wrap is simple and basic. The main body of this wrap is knit in plain stockinette stitch. The lace boarder is picked up and knit from the side of the body. Strong and hard wearing. A shawl for the working class.
Yarn Requirements: 1060 yards / 975 meters of fingering weight yarn
Yarn used in Pattern: 4 skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Loft in colour woodsmoke Fingering weight 2 ply Targhee-Columbia wool 275 yards/251 meters (50 grams) per skein
Needles and Notions: US 3 (3.25mm) circular needle 40” (100 cm) long or
whatever size you need to obtain gauge Tapestry Needle Pins for blocking
Gauge: 20 stitches and 29 rows over 4” in stockinette stitch after wet blocking
