Product Details
Bella Mirella is a one-skein lace shawl and was designed to make good use of the Paris Night blue Malabrigo Lace skein I treated myself with.
It is a shawl that looks good on both sides and each one presents a slightly different aspect of the pattern.
The shawl is crescent shaped, started in the middle. The volume is built up by increasing at the inner edge. Wrong side alternates purl and knit stitches, as they come in the pattern.
Sizing is adaptable, you choose how big the shawl is going to be by adding more repeats of the body section. The basic version, 17'x 68' / 43x172cm, requires about 400 yards of laceweight yarn and a bit more of heavier weights.
Any yarn from lace to DK weight will look good on the shawl. Consequently, needles should be adapted to the yarn used and the degree of lacy effect that you desire to achieve.
The instructions are both written and charted, with WS included.
