Product Details
This is very sentimental pattern for me as it is my daughter’s blanket. After years of trying to have a child, I had a girl who was born perfectly healthy and beautiful. I finished knitting the blanket just a few days before she was born and she’s now spending her first winter wrapped up in it.
The pattern is meant to create a warm, cuddly and colorful baby blanket that can be made as big as desired. The pictured blanket required 5 colors of DK weight yarn but it can easily be modified to use more or less colors. For example, you could use one main color and a different color for each row of bubbles, making a great use for all those leftover yarns from other projects. You can also adapt the size by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches that you cast on and by adjusting the length to your liking or satisfaction.
Difficulty: Advanced beginner - the bubble stitch, once mastered, is easy to create. A phototutorial is included in the pattern as well as a link to a video tutorial.
