Product Details
Bim is a happy mitt or mitten that is worked from the top down starting with a super-simple winding cast on.
A thumb gusset makes for a good fit, & just for fun, knit a sprinkle of colourful intarsia squares (aka blobs).
If you hate intarsia, you can add colour with Duplicate Stitch (Swiss Darning). The pattern links to photo tutorials for both.
Bim is knitted with the magic loop method. If preferred, you can of course knit on DPNs or two circulars.
*Bim is much like *simsalabut has a shorter thumb gusset, a differently decreased thumb, & intarsia detail. The cuff is longer & can be folded double. The striping in the mitt cuff alternates purled and knitted bands (simsala features a string of purls).
You can use one feature from bim and another from simsala. Simsalabim!
