Product Details
Aronia berries grow on a quite amazing shrub. Grapes of white flowers steal the show in spring. Purple berries, dark, vibrant, almost black, develop as the year passes. Bright red-purple leaves grace the shrub in fall. Winter closes the cycle, and the Aronia, seemingly suspended in time, bravely waits for the ice and snow to melt. Worked in a drapey yarn, the Black Aronia cowl features a staggered bold lace pattern reminiscent of the shrub pointy leaves. Yarn-overs, as berries, are nested together in small grapes, resting between the leaves. With asymmetrical edgings, the cowl finishes in a canopy of pointy leaves. Be as bold, vibrant and resilient as an Aronia and join us on a berry tour!
This pattern is worked in the round. Suggestions are given to customize the pattern. Charts, written instructions and video tutorials for the stitches are provided.
