Simple and practical, this cardigan with its loose fit and wide, above the wrist sleeves slips on easily for a quick extra layer.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Bust - 36 (38, 40, 42, 44)(46, 48, 50, 52)", based on twice finished back measurement. Intended to be worn with 2-4" of ease.
YARN: 1110 (1155, 1210, 1300, 1345)(1425, 1485, 1580, 1630) yds worsted weight wool or wool blend.
CONSTRUCTION: Beginning at the center back, each half of the upper body is knit flat to the sleeve hems and then joined at center back with 3-needle I-cord bind off. The lower back and fronts are knit in pieces from the bottom up, with decreases worked for slight A-line shaping, and then joined to the upper body with 3-needle I-cord bind off, after stitches are picked up at the lower edges of the upper body. Stitches are picked up for the garter stitch collar band, which is finished with an I-cord bind off. Underarms and sides are seamed.
