What you'll need
Product Details
A long, crescent-shaped shawl with great drape and airiness, inspired by a rainbow appearing on a grey rainy day. Bright colours excite me, and as a sure-fire pick-me-up, beautifully-dyed sock yarn is in a class of its own!
This shawl is knit from the bottom up. The lace patterns are easily memorised, and are fully charted so you can tick off the rows as you go.
Materials: Main colour: 300 yards of fingering-weight yarn. For the rainbow edge: 25 yards of fingering-weight yarn in each colour (or 100 yards in a single contrasting colour, if you prefer). For a single-colour shawl, you will need 400 yards of fingering-weight yarn.
Sizing: My shawl is 235cm long along the rainbow edge, and 28cm deep. You can make it bigger or smaller by changing the number of repeats in Chart 3 before binding off.
Pattern is for personal use only.
