Product Details
This scarf will warm you while you are knitting it; becoming warmer and warmer on your lap as it grows. Wrapped around your shoulders, it’s like a heater. Hence its name “Calira”, which is a Rhaeto-Romanic word for warmth. Rhaeto-Romanic is spoken in the Engadine in Switzerland. Imagine an afternoon stroll through St. Moritz on a bright, sunny, yet ice-cold February day. Then a hot chocolate at Café Hanselmann. Admire the view of the lake, while others admire your elegant scarf.
This pattern is for intermediate to advanced knitters. However, even if you have never done double knitting or brioche before, give it a try as it is a suitable project to practise these techniques. The double knitting sections require concentration but, once you’ve got going, the brioche section can be done while watching Netflix.
