Product Details
“Calmado” is the word for “calm” (or “calmed down”) in Spanish. These socks are designed to be knitted unhurriedly. Sometimes we, knitters, can feel overwhelmed by all the patterns and the amount of yarn in our stash. We challenge ourselves to knit faster and too often we are thinking about the next pattern we are going to knit, even if we haven’t finished the project currently on our needles.
We need to remember the importance of enjoying this precious time we spend knitting and the memories attached to it as we knit. Knitting is also a form of selfcare.
The construction of these socks is toe-up with twisted stitches and simple cables to create a texture on the instep that flows to the front of the leg into the cuff.
