Product Details
This is a pattern for a lacy shoulder cowl. There are two lengths contained within the pattern. The longer finished cowl measures 58 X 10 1/2 inches, and the shorter one measures 46 X 10 1/2 inches (which is the one seen in the pictures), so you have your choice of how long you would like your cowl to be.
The cable lace stitch is a unique one. As you can see, it forms its own very feminine scallop at the neck.
The cable lace stitch is both charted, and written out line by line. It is a fun and not very difficult stitch to knit. It will give anyone new to cable-lace a taste of what that type of knitting is all about and they can see whether they like it…most knitters do, but not all.
Skill Level: Beginner + -Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of both knitting, purling, cable-lace knitting.)
Any sport weight or heavy fingering weight yarn yielding 5 sts/inch in cable lace stitch, blocked in size US #6 (4.0mm) needles, or any other needle that gives you the gauge required.
