Product Details
The release date of this pattern marks a special event in my life: January 2nd, 2015 is my one year anniversary from when I first started to learn how to knit! Compare this shawl to my first pattern, the Honey Comb Cowl (which was published five months into my knitting journey) to see how far I’ve come. I’m so excited to see what 2015 will bring and what I’ll learn.
Please note that the gauge is not important to this project but different gauges will affect how much yarn you will use and the final dimensions will vary slightly.
This is an asymmetrical triangular shawl knit from tip to end. The pattern alternatives between a slip-stitch and eyelet section, separated by stockinette stitch. The increases and decreases work together to create a bias in the fabric. The result is a lovely and elegant shawl that drapes beautifully. Knit this up in Woolfolk yarn to experience a shawl like no other.
