Product Details
The Captain James Cook Tea Cosy was designed in responce to a request. Its 250 years ago this year that Captain James Cook discovered Australia. The tea cosy of Captain James Cook was designed to look like one of the famous portraits of him of the time in his Royal Navy captains uniform.
As you might expect, Cook is holding the ships charts and a trusty telescope to spot new lands. Around the back of him as a nod to his accomplishments of discovering Australia, there is an adorable wallaby.
This is a mammoth knitting pattern and certainly not for the faint hearted. If you love a knitting challenge, this one is a great project. I suppose the trickiest part is knitting from two needle simultaneously to join the work, there are photos to show you, and it is only two rows that requires this.
