My cat socks knitting pattern was inspired by my teenage daughter being unable to find fashionable socks long enough to fit her lovely long legs. These socks are intended to be thigh high, but with a few easy adjustments to the pattern you can make shorter socks, and custom make the socks to a specific shoe size too.
You can choose to follow written instructions for the tail and face design features, or charts if you prefer to work from them; you will receive PDFs for both of these options when you order the pattern. My patterns are written in plain English, which makes them easy to follow whether you are a newbie knitter or you have many years of experience.
