Product Details
Full text plus charts for the border and center panel. This pattern is written in easy to follow text with special stitches explained. Border is knitted in one long piece while mitering the corners using short rows and with the resulting short ends sewn together. Each leaflet is knitted separately then sewn on. The ancient Celts prized the rowan for its protective properties. This design is one in a series of Celtic botanical knits and this pillow is a companion to the Celtic Oak Pillow. Each few (letter) of the ancient Irish writing called Ogam (pronounced owam) is associated with a sacred tree. The Ogam few called “luis" represents the rowan and is incorporated on this pillow pattern.

Beautiful pillow. Not easy to knit but doable for a fairly experienced knitter.
