Product Details
As the title suggests, this shawl's motif is based after the Cherry Blossom, also known as Sakura. This shawl is light and airy, and drapes elegantly around the shoulders and neck. The pattern includes both written instructions and lace chart, which is relatively easy to memorize. The stitch count changes every row. You will be knitting the lace border first then picking up stitches on the straight edge through the slipped stitches. The body of the shawl is knit in garter stitch and you can chose to do the eyelet border at the top before casting off for extra decor.
Gauge is not important for knitting this shawl but the amount of yarn and final size will vary accordingly. I suggest knitting this shawl in light, pink colors to go along with the motif.
