Product Details
Chevrons are an interesting stitch pattern that make wonderful colorplay with self-striping yarns. The Chevron Scoop is a colorful scarf loop that is not only harder for the wearer to lose (you know, with a regular scarf one end hangs longer than the other, and it soon slides off the wearer without being noticed) but also functions as much more than just a scarf. It also acts as a cowl, or a face/ear covering, or an almost hood! I may have to post a video of the different wearing options!
Pattern instructions are given for using worsted weight yarn to make an adult size (7"-9" wide with a 52"-56" circumference), but also includes notes for using bulky and DK yarns, as well as making a child size (5"-7" wide with a 47"-50" circumference).
Gauge is not critical, as long as your are close to the yarn's suggested gauge.
Instructions give two options for casting on for eventual grafting.
100 grams each of two colors/colorways- either two different colorways of self-striping
