These socks would be ideal for intermediate sock knitters who would like to try adding a zig-zag pattern to their socks.
The design for these socks was inspired by fondness of self-striping yarns. I wanted a stocking stitch design with just a little bit of pattern that would not compete with my stripey yarn. By combining a chevron design (which is essentially a zig zag pattern) with this self-striping yarn, I have managed to create a pattern that compliments all the striping colours of this yarn.
I’m also hoping to help knitters understand how cuff down socks with a traditional gusset develop with this very simple yet elegant sock pattern.
Pattern contains links to three tutorial videos on my YouTube channel to help with various techniques used while knitting these socks.
