This is the pattern for a chicken appliqué.

I’ve used 8 ply cotton and a 2.5 mm crochet hook but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.
Yellow, orange and brown cotton or wool, I used 8 ply wool which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the UK.
A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook.
Scissors.
Yellow thread to sew together.
Sewing needle.
Darning needle to weave in ends.
Black embroidery cotton or sewing thread to embroider on the eyes.
