Product Details
Hand knit this cute Christmas bunting with a pattern suitable for the intermediate knitter. This fun design will brighten up your home for the festive season and add a cosy feel with it's traditional motifs of snowflakes, a tree, a snowman and a reindeer. The five flags for this Christmas decoration are knitted from charts using the double knitting technique to create a double sided fabric with the inverse of the design on the back. The charts are also suitable for intarsia if a single sided fabric is required (although the pattern is written for the double knitting technique). The flags can be decorated after they have been knitted and the photos show examples of how beads, buttons and twine have been used for this.
The bunting is worked in two colours of DMC Woolly yarn but could also be used as a stash buster for DK yarn or light worsted weight. Worked to the stated tension each flag measures approx 16cm wide by 10cm high and are hung on an i cord made to the desirable length.
