This pattern is knitted in chunky (bulky) weight yarn or DK weight yarn held double to make it a speedy knit. The hat is knitted in the round in reverse stocking stitch, with the sauce knitted separately and stitched in place to give the hat a 3-dimensional feel. Finally, the holly and berries are added separately.
