Product Details

Turdus genus includes many species of blackbirds and thrushes, two loving birds. There is a large mulberry tree in my garden. A few years ago, a blackbird was sheltering there. As soon as I sat down at the garden table he would come to see me, hopping for a moment a meter away. Then he would return to its tree. Unfortunately, today it has disappeared. I dedicate this sweater to it.

Turdus is worked top down and in the round within stocking stitches. Stitches are picked at the armholes and sleeves are worked in the round. It is a very classical sweater, with about 2 inches (5 cm) ease, a slight A line and 3 / 1 ribs. A band of Fair Isle worked in a contrasting colour emphasizes the yoke and the sleeves hems.

Gauge: 4 “ x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm: 29 sts and 40 rnds worked in stocking sts, with needle US 6 / 4 mm, washed and blocked. Camello is very elastic wool. With a substitution yarn you would have to go down few sizes.
