Product Details
Meaning trellis in Scottish Gaelic, Cliathrach is an asymmetrical shawl knit from side to side. With masses of relaxing garter stitch and an engaging but easy to learn lace pattern covering one third of the shawl, Cliathrach is a joy to knit! The simple lace pattern forms the trellis which gives the shawl its name.
Designed with three sizes in mind, you can pick the one that works best for you! Knit it with 100g of 4 ply weight yarn for a neat shawlette or with 300g for a shawl that almost doubles as a blanket!
The sample is knit with 200g of Cookston Crafts Merino Silk Fingering, for a shawl that’s easy to wear, cosy and elegant!
The pattern is fully written and charted so whichever way you like to read your patterns, you’re covered! The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos.
