Snazzy! A tapered slit edged in garter stitch and simple lace yarn over details to perk up this top down hat. Use a heavy worsted weight or aran weight yarn.
Level: Intermediate- you need to know how to knit, purl decrease, increase, cast on, and bind off.
Size: Adult 20 inches around
To make the hat you will need: -110 yards heavy worsted or aran weight yarn from Midnightsky Fibers -Size 8 needles or size to get gauge. You need double pointed needles and a 16 inch circular, one long circular, or two circulars in the same size, depending on your preference. -A tapestry needle to weave in ends -Stitch Markers
Gauge: 4 stitches/inch. Do a gauge swatch to make sure you have the correct gauge.
Abbreviations: K- Knit P- Purl YO- Yarn Over P2tog-Purl two stitches together
