Product Details
The bold, geometric pattern on this hat is worked using only one color on any given round.
Instructions are included for both a slouchy hat and a beanie shape.
This pattern is a great introduction to color work without the hassle of carrying two strands of yarn at once.
The hat is truly unisex and can be made with or without the pom pom.
It’s a great way to use up stash and leftover yarn from other projects!
· Mosaic colorwork is worked using one color per round without the hassle of carrying multiple strands of yarn in a single round. Colors are alternated every 2 rounds. 2nd round of each color is worked exactly the same as the 1st round. Fun and easy!
· Mosaic contrast color can be worked using mini-gradient skeins (such as Sweet Georgia’s Party of Five) in fingering held double. Chart shows breaks for 3 color gradient. A subtle transition of color between skeins is recommended for best results.
· Size is adjustable by adding or subtracting 8 sts to cast on.
