Botanical name: Epacris impressa
The Common Heath is Victoria's floral emblem and can be found in coastal heath and inland open forest. This larger than life version looks beautifully either singularly or bunched with other knitted wildflowers. You can find the Common Heath flowering in the wild in Autumn, Winter and Spring.
Construction:
This Australian wildflower is constructed in the round using magic loop (or your preferred method for small circumference knitting) and i-cord. The small spiky leaves are made with small pieces of felted yarn.
