Coorie signature balaclava

This is a much loved pattern that's been honed over years of practice. First created for my son, who needed something warm that would stay on and that I liked the look of. Since then I've knitted hundreds of these for children all over the world from Scotland, Sweeden, Canada and Japan, it's popular everywhere, the pattern has been perfected over time and you can mix and match colours according to your tastes/style.

Made with a beautifully soft cashmere blend yarn, this balaclava is cosy and children just love wearing them. The hood can be pulled down when you go inside, without risking the loss of yet another hat, then pulled back on to stay cosy in the cold.

The style is attractively vintage with the pixie peak and pompom. The way this frames their little faces is adorable!

It's a really nice knit to make, with just enough detail to keep it interesting but not too tricky! Perfect for those who've mastered the basics and want to take it up a level.
